Nivruttinath Maharaj Samadhi temple is located in Nashik, near Trimbakeshwar. This temple has a large value in the Warkari community. Sant Nivruttinath Maharaj takes a live samadhi at the place of this temple in the year 1219. This temple is placed in beautiful nature. Nivruttinath Maharaj was born in Shri kshetra Alandi in the year 1195. Trimbakeshwar is the first place in Warkari sampraday and Nivrutthinath Maharaj is the first promotor of the Warkari sector. He was born in the Apegaon village, Ahamadnager, and grew up in Nashik City. Nivruttinath Maharaj is an elder in his brother and sisters. Nivruttinath Maharaj has two brothers and one sister.
At the age of ten, Nivruttinath Maharaj and his family encountered a tiger and he is hide in a cave. This was the biggest turning point of Nivruttinath Maharaj’s life. And after this incident, he is separated from his family. Since then awakening to wisdom and peace began in his life and he doesn't look back again. And those people who worship Nivruttinath Maharaj have a value for his divine power.
Nivruttinath Maharaj Samadhi Trust, Trimbakeshwar :
The entire Temple management is run by the trust after the charity trust act of 1950. But in the past, the concerned families ran this temple management. Now, the Warkari devotees are also given a representation in it on the demand of Warkari Sampradaya.
In the temple Idol of Nivruttinath Maharaj was made by using 230 kg of silver. A new 13×12 ft chariot with three domes was made for the Idol.
Nivruttinath Maharaj Temple Celebration in Trimbakeshwar :
The 12th day of Jayeshtha Vadya is the ceremony of Nivruttinath Maharaj. Nivruttinath Maharaj Palkhi Sohala is celebrated by Sansthan. Dyaneshwari Parayan is organized at Trimbakeshwar from the 5th day of Jayeshtha Vadya to the 12th day of Jayeshtha Vadya and Samadhi ceremony with palkhi is celebrated on the 12 days of Jayeshtha Vadya. This festival celebrates with large welfare in Trimbakeshwa, Nashik.
Nivruttinath Maharaj Palkhi ceremony is held from Trimbakeshwar to Pandharpur and thousands of Warkari participate in this Palkhi ceremony. Palkhi departs from Trimbakeshwar on Jayeshtha shuddha 14/15 and reaches Pandharpur on Ashad shuddha.
